Take a bow son. Absolutely fantastic performance. He certainly should be playing regularly. He's a great defender and is ready to put his body on the line. Not only that, he's a brilliant reader of the game.

But he's been poor. Pace has completely gone and has been caught out. He's been great for us and will be an Anfield legend but time to move onto some of the younger defenders I think.

I think Carragher puts to bed the argument that players cant play two games in a week and need to be rested.
PLEASE CAN WE HAVE NO MORE TALK ABOUT PLAYERS BEING LEFT OUT OF CUP GAMES IN ORDER TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE.
Well done Jamie for backing up my argument on here that players cant play two games in a row especialy when Jamie traveled back on a five and a half hour flight from Moscow after playing 90 mins in bad conditions and then playing another 90 mins away against a team hoping to win the league in what is one of the most difficult venues to get a result...
