Many people want to keep BR as 'continually changing managers every year sets you back'. This is absolute nonsense that is also churned out by the media. They cite whiskey nose as the example. Ramble on about long term planning and stability.

The only two clubs in Europe that have won more European Cups than us(Madrid and Milan) both have a history of changing their managers on an almost yearly basis.

Keeping a manager for a long time does not guarantee success and trophies(Arsenal) and getting shot early on before it gets any worse(Hodgson) is not necessarily a bad thing either.

I havent turned on Rodgers, I have been consistent in my argument from the start that he does not have the credentials to manage LFC. Others brand me an idiot, pathetic and clueless. You may be right, but only time will tell.

Thus far, results prove I am right about Buck. Some are now realising this as well. As for the rest of you, it will happen just give him another month or so of fixtures and the poor results, bull***t and spin will follow.

The difference between genius and insanity is measured by success.

Im off to practice my Rafa songs. We will be needing them very soon...

The best thing about this forum is the different topics people talk about and the lack of sarcasm.

Mourinho looks nailed on for City for me, with Guardiola going to Chelsea or possibly United or Arsenal outside chance, be shocked if both these managers are not in charge of English League Clubs come first game of next season.

I personaly agree with changing managers myself, not talking about Rogers yet but overall in general I think its always the right thing to do. The way I see it is if your a business like we are, you want the best man you can get running it, if he is not up to scratch or deliver what he promised then you ship him out and ship someone who can do the job in. Why should'nt an owner or chairman expect a manager to deliver, he provides his manager with every concievable thing to be successfuly in his job, wages, facilities, money, best hotels, best medical e.t.c. and he even allows him to appoint his very own backroom staff to help him achieve, when a manager fails to deliver he only has himself to blame.

Nothing wrong except when the manager tells you that he needs at least a year to start showing some improvement because he needs to overhaul the squad, implement a new philosophy etc. However, i don't think any manager in their job interview would ask money to improve the squad and say that there won't be an improvement before a year. I don't think BR told this to FSG when he was interviewed, despite some fans here guessing so.

People usually give 2 examples as to why it's best to stick with one manager:

1) ferguson. but he is an exception to the rule - you can't use one of the most successful managers in history as a yardstick!
2) moyes - ok, he's been with everton for a long time but what have they won in that time?

Changing managers regulalry isn't what anyone 'wants' - We want a very good manager and then we should stick with him. The only thing worse than constant changing is sticking with someone under qualified for a few years just so it doesn't look like we change managers a lot!

ok sack rodgers but the next manager who ever it is only gets 4 or 5 months and there gone aswell because that the way , the fans got hodgson out and now want rodgers well , liverpool will become the man city of the 70's and 80's vitually a new manager every week .
