You really expect us to win a cup this season, seriously?

I'm with CarheeX on this, the cups are a distraction this season. I'd use the reserves in all of them and focus on the league.

We'll need to bring in at least 3 attack minded players in January to improve our league form. Anything above 8th represents progress (on last season) and that is a must for me.

I'm happy with small progress for the next 2-3 seasons to break back into the top four, only then will I expect anything like a cup win.

I'll stick to my original premise that top 10 is realistic in this climate. Lower would be diabolical and higher, a pleasure...

Like every single fan of the club, I also expect to be given a solid striker (or two) in January.

A decent way of looking at it. I'd go one step further though - if he can improve on kenny's league position I will conceded that he is quite probably the right man to take us forward over the next few years. If we finish below 8th, and considering the squad has had £150m investment in the last 2 years, it will be quite obvious that he hasn't got a clue.

Even though a good 2/3rd of that investment has been spent on overpriced flops? Of which BR prob wouldn't go near in a transfer window normally...

The Liverpool way is also existing to win trophies yet we have a manager who simply does'nt want to win trophies as he does'nt take competitions serious, win lose or draw tonite that team he played is a disgrace. Stanley you cant pick and choose when you want to adopt the Liverpool way if you do want to adopt it then you agree with me that we should be fielding full strenghth team in order to win trophies, now that is the Liverpool way...

Don't agree. The squad is thin as it is, if playing a weakened team in competitions such as the league cup and europa league gives us a better chance to fight for 4th spot then it is the right thing to do.

But he's saving our better players for chelsea; that way the whole squad gets to taste defeat!

Yes, BR will make it clear in his next press conference that he doesn't ever intend to win a trophy, thats not what he became a manager to do!
