Hopefully in January we can bring in at least 2 strikers

Honestly looking at how things are going what is your realistic expectations for this season ?

I hope we can win either the Europa League or FA CUP
Top 4 is going to be tough so at least top 6 this season

That would meet expectations for me. But don't give up on 4th place until its mathgematically impossible thats the Liverpool way not to pack in before the season starts

Premier League: I said in august that we are going to fight Spurs, Newcastle and Everton for 5\6 position and I am sticking to it

Europa League: I think it's going to be won by some spanish, portuguese or german team.

FA cup: it could be a possibility, especially if City, Utd and Chelsea are going to concentrate on the title battle(which I think they will)

that being said, i hope we get a striker and a defensive midfielder(don't know when Lucas is coming back). better yet, i hope we get players above our squad, no matter the position.

ALL of the cups are an unwelcome distraction this season. For me, we simply must finish above 8th in the league as the bare minimum target. Ideally, we should be qualifying for the europa league via our league position.
18 months ago we finished 6th and the manager lost his job. Since then the club has spent £150m on players so NO WAY should we accept going backwards.

yea for me it all depends on the Janurary transfer window. We have some making up to do.

I would be over the moon with fourth and gobsmacked if we finished anywhere below 7th.

For me, whilst we have shipped goals and not clutched at the opportunity to get points where we really should have, Newcastle, Everton, Man City.. the table is still really tight. We're fortunate that a lot of other teams have been drawing as well.

We're 6 points away from 4th. It's all rather condensed. We need to start performing sooner rather than later, but a run of a good few wins and things will look a lot better. Traditionally we start well and taper off towards the end of the season, let's hope it's the other way around this year.

We need to start on Sunday. Chelsea look good and have a strong squad, yet we can be a bit of a bogey team for them.

So? What to expectations have to do with anything? We didn't EXPECT to lose 3-0 to West Brom in the opening day, but we did. We didn't EXPECT to batter the reigning champions from pillar to post performance wise, but we did. I didn't EXPECT Celtic to score 2 against Barcelona last night, but they did.

Im going to be bold.. I honestly think if we can stay within 10 points of 4th come January and we splash out on a top striker, left back and centre mid (Asking for alot, i know) we can snatch 4th or 5th. Anywhere in the top 7 this year would be ok for me though once we really push on starting from next July. Im not one of those whose gonna accept that were not a top club anymore dont care

If we have say, 3 or 4 wins on the bounce (not unrealistic), a few teams above us draw, lose, slip up a bit, then we could be in fourth. It's no mammoth task.
