He did all the hard work then passed to other players, giving them GOLDEN opportunites to score, TWICE yesterday.

When he is the only one scoring, I'm not surprised he takes the chance on himself more often than not.

If Sterling and or Shelvey had finished yesterday, they'd have both been quality assists. To add to a couple that he already has this season.

I understand what you are saying, had the same thought when Shelvey passed the ball to the keeper after the hard work of Suarez. However, I don't think that he doesn't pass the ball because he thinks that his partners won't score, he doesn't have time to think about all this. I think he has it in his head as soon as he gets the ball that he has to go and score and doesn't raise his head enough, it's his game, it would be better for him if he could develop another aspect of his game, he would be even better.

I think he does have that part of his game. I think he's a pretty unselfish striker. When the better option is to square the ball to someone else, he usually does. If we had someone who was regularly then knocking those chances in, it would be a lot more obvious I think.

He's certainly no Defoe, who only ever passes by accident.

Think about the Sahin goal vs Norwich, easily could have taken the chance himself to get his hatrick (at that point he was on 2) but he didn't.

I think he got lucky with the take down as it hit him on the top of the shoulder, then he didn't have time to do anything else but take it round keeper..if he had a second to think about it he would have missed as usual ..crap striker grin

You feel we would have scored more without him in the team then, he is our best striker and if I am not mistaken second after RVP right now? Great record for a crap striker.

And he wouldn't be second to RVP had his 3rd goal at Goodison not been ridiculously disallowed. That would have been his second hatrick in a few games.

I've always maintained that he's a world class forward. We're very lucky to have him in the side.

One of the best goals I have seen in many a time and truly of world class standard.

So how about some mention of this?
your right stan but it would have been a better goal if rafa had been in charge smirk

Or may be because it was not a typical Tiki Taka goal.

hey Stan, whisper it but Luis now has 7 in 10 league games, which is more than RVP had this time last year. We could not repeat what Arsenal did and finish 4th could we?

a very average Arsenal some how after christmas went on a cracking run and finished 3rd, even though written off after 10games.
