Lads i hate to say it but i think FSG are an absoulte joke, they try to talk the right talk but then do absoulte notting to improve the team in the way it needs to be improved to compete for a champions league place, which should be the least we should be challanging for, people are giving out about B Rodgers but no matter what manager we have we will always struggle with owners who wont back a manager of a club like Liverpool the way he should be backed, i just think FSG are getting off the hook to much, fair enough they bailed us out when we were in a bad place but any of the other buyers could of doing the same, it,s what the said they were going to do after they baught the club that got them the club, and they simple have not done any thing, its about time some pressure was put on FSG by the fans to let them know we are no happy with what they have done so far....

We'll see what happens in January, The summer they cleared the decks and saved alot of money.

If they dont invest £20 million in January then more people would be inclined to believe the same thing.

If January signings depends on selling more players to fund the purchases I will not be amused.

I'm all for selling players to buy but they must put in around £20 million at least.

The trouble is all the teams around us will be doing the same anyway so although our squad depth might be better the other teams will be buying world class replacements.

We need a couple or at least one fairly big name to come in.

I suppose we'll find out how this seasons going to end up in the next 12 weeks.

Agree with the theme of the hread they have done nothing so far save getting a few sponsorships deals on the back of the clubs history and talk the talk. And made some very poor decisions in the first two years.

Not good enough for a club of LIverpool's stature

Yep, I'll give them until Jan until I start throwing my toys out the pram - no excuses for not spending after the team started the season thread bare.

Then there's the problem of the Jan prices - not exactly optimistic in all honesty

Let's not worry about new players?

Sorry no ones saying you have to spend a fortune. But you have to add to the squad. And not more up and coming players. I'd like a couple of experienced players with real quality to add to the squad. Let's push through 2 or 3 youngsters. Not 6-7. It doesn't work.

I can't see how you could force FSG to pour money in like Abramovich and the Sheiks, it could be that they do not have that much of available cash. I think thier business plan would work only if the FFP is effective. It's also true that with the current spending power, LFC would find it hard to be in the top 4 and BR should not be blamed for that. However, he should be able to beat the likes of Swansea, Everton, WBA, Newcastle, ie, teams just off the top 5-6 and we should be at least top 8.

To be honest they were burnt badly in the transfer market by KK and Comolli, so I don't think we'll see them pouring large sums into players until BR proves he's got the ability to buy players who actually increase in value. With Allen & Assiadi so far I think the signs are promising - but the best I can see for Jan is a decent striker coming in...

The decent striker was BR's first signing so to say, ie, Borini, may be I was mistaken. Why? Because our biggest priority was a top striker, everybody knew about this well before the season started.

BR biggest priority was not a striker as he said over the summer that he felt he needed 6 top CM to have the requisite depth in his squad.

Borini was not bought to be a failure (and might yet come good) and by all accounts BR was in the market for another striker (Dempsey) when the owners pulled the plug on that move.
