Not surprisingly he owners are reluctant to invest. But invest we must if we are to break out of this position. As for the fan base no its not the be all and end all but it is a huge asset. We got £39k for a televised europa game on a mid week night. IF YOU WANT TO BE HEARD SPEAK SOFTLY - BOB PAISLEY

We got £39k for a televised europa game on a mid week night. gate receipts are peanuts in the modern game now for Premiership Clubs, you either play Champions League or your an also ran regarding big Clubs and the criteria.

International fan base gives you better sponsorship contracts, this is why we got a good deal with both Standard Chartered and Warriors (even if Adidas didn't want to pay that kind of money because we were no longer in the Champions league). We are still among the top 10 teams in terms of revenue if I am not mistaken and a lot has to do with our global fan base (sponsorship and merchandise). However, I reckon that if we do not get back challenging for honours, we would definitely have global fan base like Leeds, Everton etc and we'll stay a mid to bottom club for ever...until we get a billionaire owner investing in the club. The window is still open, but not for long.

We need positive action from FSG IF YOU WANT TO BE HEARD SPEAK SOFTLY - BOB PAISLEY

We need positive action from FSG yes thats the way I see it stanley, so how long you gonna give it then being outside the top four before you finaly accept we are no longer the big Club some people seem to think we are then, this will be our fourth season outside btw.
