"Andy has obviously gone out to get games," said Rodgers. "We have people watching when he plays and they report back on how he is doing. [But recalling him] isn't something I have considered, to be honest."

Well done Brendan, given we have 1 fit striker, thats good management that is.

That's not to say he WON'T consider it closer to January (the recall clause is for January). For what it's worth though, I don't believe he will recall him. Striker shortage or not, AC didn't fit into his system in the summer, so he isn't magically going to fit into it now.

With a vague comment like that from the manager don't be suprised if carroll is not back alongside rogers in a press conference tomorrow with rogers saying he never wanted him to go

No I don't think he will recall him. Rodgers is concerned with the bigger picture and the system. Carroll will be moved on. I expect though another striker or two perhaps on loan January. Count on it.

Nor me I just think (and its not all his own fault as there is clearly a major problem of communication at liverpool that has yet to be resolved) but Rogers has gone back on his opinions several times before never know whether to believe him or not. Still, the results on the pitch are what counts

The (assumed) finances say 17 million was looked for last summer, but next summer if i remember the figures meant he can go for 14 and the books will balance. WestHam did not include a buy option.
