To be quite lampard about all of the speculation I quite like Sturridge.
I think he's a descent player and let me tell you why. When he played he scored, didn't matter who Chelsea or Bolton were playing 9 times outnod ten he was involved or scoring.

He's a confident boy whos played with top players. Not everyone copes making the switch to Liverpool. Cough cough hendo & downing. Worked with Rodgers at Chelsea. Rodgers wanted him in the summer. He would surely improve playing week in week out and we can offer him that.

The price: I'd like to see us pay nothing for the lad. I'd like us to get him on loan with a fixed price at end of season if we like what we see. I wouldn't pay 15 million right now not a chance in old Trafford.

Do you guys like Sturridge, how much would you pay?

I don't like him. Think it would be money wasted

Very good player. He's one person who knows where the back of the net is which already puts him head & shoulders above 99% of our squad. We'd be mad NOT to be interested.

Many people believe that there is only 1 thing missing which would make us a success, and that is a goalscorer. Therefore, how on earth could it be classed as a 'waste of money' if we bought someone who can score goals?!?! Madness.

Since when has Sturridge been a prolific goal scorer? I recall him having a purple patch on loan at Bolton where he scored 6 or 7 goals but where else has he done it? Too young, arrogant and a bad attitude, no thanks, he is not a player that will elevate us to the next level, midtable quality is not what we need. We need an experienced forward that actually knows where the net is that can do it now for us not in 5 more years.

Yes, he did well at Bolton and that is the only time he has been given a consistent run of games up front. You need to look at where we are and the calibre of players we can attract these days. We need someone like sturridge to get us back competing at a decent level. Then in a few years time we can start looking at the big boys. There isn't a world class striker in the world today who would jump at the chance of joining Liverpool.

Yea I kind of agree. There would be players id look to sign before Sturridge.
Llorente. Soldado. Rodrigo. Maybe a couple of others but in my opinion Sturridge does fit the bill and he's not been given a fair chance at chelski. I remember AVB always wanting to play him and rating him highly. I'm sure spurs will be in for him.

On him vein arrogant? Rhys a matter if personal opinion. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance and atleast he won't play hiding seek like some players at our club.

I think he could be a very handy player for us as part of a front 3, tidy with the ball, has plenty of pace and seems to be a decent finisher when given the chance.
The fact that he can go past a player will also take some of the heat off Suarez, they can't double up on everyone.
On the attitude front I have no idea what he is like day to day on the training ground, but if he has a bit of arrogance on match day that doesn't go wrong.
I can't recall hearing much s*** about him away from the pitch so perhaps he keeps his head down and away from trouble.... but maybe I missed that because I am not living in UK for the last few years?

To be honest, I have no idea where this 'arrogance' slur comes from. Do these people who say he is sulky and arrogant even know him!? Somehow I doubt it.

I 'think' it is because we wanted to buy him whereas chelsea only wanted to loan him out. Or vice versa. Either way, the 2 clubs wanted different things.
