I really dislike this question, and I dislike where I know it's gonna go.
Rafa isn't the manager, Brendan Rodgers is. End of story, there's not a lot to discuss because everything is hypothetical. I'm a Rafa fan but his last season was a disaster. There were a lot of issues going on within the club that you could point the finger at for that, but there's nothing to say if he had've taken over this season, it wouldn't have carried on in the same poor manner.
This comes back yet again to the mindset of the grass always being greener on the other side. Brendan Rodgers is only 7 league games into his job. Not 70. SEVEN! Rafa had 3 defeats in his opening 7 league games, and the opposition wasn't as tough as the start we've had.
Brendan Rodgers comes to our club with a new footballing philosophy. Some of the players, particularly at the back, are not instantly taking to it. It'll take time. I said before that it'll take at least 17 league games to get a bit of a picture of how we're progressing. Realistically we need to be in the top 8 by the start of the new year. I'll make my own judgement of Rodgers at the end of the season.
