Just saw this on the LFC site and thought it would be topical given the introduction of the youngsters into the first team.

With this in mind I believe that we will be challenging for the title within 2-3 years if we can hold onto our youngsters and they continue their development. With a couple of more years of experience under their belts and the addition of a couple more quality players over that time i believe its very realistic to be a strong contender for the title if things continue in the direction we are currently on.

Thoughts?

I know there will be bashers but rafa needs to be given credit for the way he revamped our academy. I hope BR continues the good work there.

Still a long way to go. this season we shouldnt expect too much. if e can finish top seven again and maybe next summer get a top keeper another centre back and a striker we may improve more

i do believe this group of players with rodgers in charge will win the league in the next 4/5 years.

i cant see it if city and chelsea still have their owners and they are willing to buy the title

when mourinho moves to city it's gonna be hard to shift them from the top. although i do think these players and rodgers are good enough. and also city and chelsea can't have every top player in the world. and their need for big names blinds them to all the little gems there are. also they'll never develop and use top youngsters. these 2 are real madrid and we're barca (hopefully). in a few years we'll be on their level.

Will those clubs still be able to spend like they do when the Fair Play rule comes in? The days of being able to "buy" the title may coming to an end! (Hopeful )

I think we are heading in the right direction to challenge and Rafa does need to be given credit for signing some of these youngsters as someone else stated previously.
