the only person i blame for liverpool falling behind man united is Parry and Moores.

In the years where we should be marketing the club and thinking of our futures, we allowed the two clowns to put their interests above that of the club and screwed it.

The rest they say is history. In my opinion, now Liverpool football club is ready to reclaim its position as the top team in England. but it is not going to be easy. Ferguson took 8 years before his first title but he had the golden generation of Beckham, the nevilles, scholes and giggs.

which other available manager is better than Benitez? We call for his head but did not think of the alternative. Sacking the manager is not the liverpool way and we need to give the new manager time....in fact, we should be more worried about Rafa resigning..

Agree with all of that Dasil, read somewhere that Liverpool were the last prem team to get an official website, despite having a worldwide support rivalled by only Man United. the money they would have lost from merchandise alone in that time is ridiculous.

In fact, the only positive you can take from the time Hicks and Gillett have owned the club is that the club has finally realised how massively behind they are in terms of marketing, especially to Asia and America

Despite the wonderful win, there was only one thing that i thought would make a huge difference.

It was Gerrard's miss from Babel's backheel.

there is a massive difference between a 4-1 scoreline and a 5-1 thrashing of your most bitter rivals. That would have sent the United's confidence back to the stone ages. The scoreline would have been deeply etched in their minds for a long time, a scar that will stay as deep and as painful as Yorke's and Ole's goals in the final two mins of the FA Cup in mid 90's.

I'm not complaining but i just thought that it was a chance that would have set the tone for next season, not just for United but for the rest of the Premiership.

The funny thing about yesterday is that we have played better and lost. Given United were not at their best, neither were we. Torres was at the most 60% fit while we lost the passing accuracy of Xabi and Arbeloa's consistency. Still, Hyypia showed everyone that he has lots to offer and defending is not always about being fast or being the strongest but being able to read the game 2-3 steps ahead of your opponent.

Ronaldo is a great player but frankly, he aint the best player in the world. And what's up with the commentators who said that Carrick was the best holding midfielder in England, the same Carrick who Xavi and Iniesta rang rings around and could hardly make a decent tackle?

Today's news is all about how United's going to respond and how they played well , blah blah blah..all the newspapers are so into their quintuple that they are blinded that all their champions simply did not turn up for the biggest game of the season? the same champions who refused (and couldn't)responsibility?

Rafa is the best manager we will have for a long time. It is unwise to call for his head. every year he makes progress. If and when the Yanks sell their stakes, we will make exponential progress in our marketability.

Anyone who wants to sell Dossena has rocks in his head. His last two performances have been fantastic within limited opportunity. He is beginning to show that he can play when the opportunity is there. Has only been here for a short time. As for those who were calling for Rafa's head......do you still want him gone??? As is mentioned many many times, Sir Alex took about 6-8 years to build what they have now! Rafa has made progress with every season and we showed that we can play excellent attacking football. Yes Rafa has had his mad moments of selection but the players who are on the pitch should also shoulder a lot of the responsibilty when we do perform badly regardless of the selection!!!

I agree with you Dino....so long as we continue to improve and perform he should be given a contract until he decides he wants to go!
