Well done to BR,he deserves a lot of credit for having the Balls to field that team. He could quite easily have been humbled at the Hawthorns but his faith and tactics have to be admired. Really like this manager and have no doubt that he can lead us to better things. Love watching the team play these days, its refreshing!!

certainly have a good crop of youngsters coming through to the first team it is a joy to see. Long may it continue and think BR is the best thing that could have happened to them by giving them a chance to shine. Hope suso keeps getting chances in the first team, been really impressed with him.

On BR's system. It seems to depend more on the collective and taking the right option. Does this mean that it should be easier to put in players and they will perform better rather than needing players with individual brilliance to do things.
What we need to bring in though is definitely a clinical striker to compliment the good play behind them. Its great to have the likes of Yesil and Sinclair in the wings but at their age, it would be better to slowly integrate them this season and let them find their feet.
We seem to have found good wingers in Sterling and Assaidi and possibly have suarez out on the wings at times and our midfield is strong in a possession sense although we are possibly short of a ball winning midfielder without Lucas. Our defence, although we have conceded goals, isn't playing badly and are conceding goals down to sloppy mistakes more than being broken down with the exception of the Arsenal and Sunderland goals. We have the likes of Coates and Wisdom ready to step in to 1st team play, Coates moreso and I don't think we'll need to strengthen too much there.

What impressed me was their seemingly natural technical ability. As young as they are, all seemed comfortable on the ball, skillful, composed, perfect for BR's system... you might say.
I won't bring up X money wasted, but comparing those youngsters to Carrol/Downing/Henderson, there's no contest. Downing looked one of the poorest players for us and he cost 18m. Imagine what the owners are thinking now...? Licking their lips no doubt, so I think a striker in Jan will easily see us out until the Summer - then we need to stump up for Sahin.
No wonder England always dissapoint at major tourneys, the more technical teams just get the better of them eventually.

Can somebody explain to me what’s going on?
We seem to be unearthing first team ready youngsters at will. I had never heard of Wisdom a week or two ago but he looks like an £8m left back. And this Sinclair lad who’s he how old is he 12? But I tell you what his first touch was good not ready yet but it won’t be long. Who’s next?
Not sure whether it’s Kenny / Rafa or Rodgers influence / management or all three.
But whatever it is I am pretty excited. it's been coming, these are not average/good youngsters they are exceptional, and thankfully we have a manager with the balls to give them a chance. and the next one is probably gonna be pelosi, ngoo or sama. baio and mcLaughlin seem to be getting rave reviews also. i've said many times that this generation of players could and should save us millions in the transfer market. meaning we can spend our money densely on top quality in key areas. something we haven't done it a long time.

Yeah it's great, this flowering couldn't come at a better time given the penny pinching owners we have. There's also Morgan and Connor Coady to come through and I'm sure there's more, if proof were needed surely this proves the value of an well managed and coached academy.

The Academy was set up some time ago at it looks like it has started to pay off. Am I making a mistake by saying that somebody compared our youth system to Barca, was it Pep? I am not sure. Now the next test is consistency.
