i just find it so weird that in our first match of the season, against west brom, our squad full of senior players got smashed 3-0. today, we have a team full of young kids and we came out on top. so odd.

It's remarkable what is happenng at the club at the moment and it is creating some genuine excitement amongst the fans. The fans have been calling for a lot of these youngsters to be given a go for a couple of seasons now and due to our minimal squad depth they are getting the chance and taking it with both hands (or should that be feet? )
Many of the these youngsters were brought by Rafa and have been at the Academy for a few seasons now. Credit goes to Rafa for getting them here and Brendan for playing them.

It's still a lot of pressure on Morgan and Yesil to be expected to fill the shoes of that goal-scoring striker that we should have bought this summer, but I'm glad they're getting some opportunities. Morgan has paid his dues in the U18s and reserves for a while, he deserves a run-out at the very least.
