Mourinho says, We are not even close to being title contenders. That we do not have the money to buy the best players. That are expectations are completely unrealistic. That Brendan Rodgers cannot work miracles under these conditions anytime soon. He is arguably one of the greatest coaches ever so i think his words are worth heavy consideration while they are not pleasant they are fair...

Well he isn't saying anything we don't already know.

He is just stating what everyone knows. making excuses for his mate. maybe he kniws what i susspect that br is out of his depth

Well we have got fans that bring embarrassment on the Club by saying we'll trounce United so Mourinho is right that expectations are too high. I'd take a draw if offered.

but we dont know do we, you only have to look at what people say on here, they are permantly living in the past with unrealistic expectation levels, like challenging for top four places, top players wanting to sign for us because we are Liverpool and we are only 2 or 3 players away from challenging for the League.

Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

"Brendan can't be a champion with that team. He can't make miracles. And it's difficult because expectations are so high,"

"The reality is that Liverpool are not the best team right now. Not even close. Other clubs are investing much more than they are.

"I hope he has time to build, because if he doesn't have the right players in his hand, it takes more time to build. I think he deserves that and - with time - he will improve them."

He's not saying anything we don't know, that we don't have the team atm. And that Rodgers needs time. I knew that, talk about state the obvious.

Not pleasant?, its the truth. We are not able to win the title, with this squad, top 6 is our priority.

Have you seen the EPL table? We're in the relegation zone!

First priority is getting us out of there and up to mid table where we belong.

After that we can start worrying about top 6 with our remaining 15 players that are fit. Lucas out, Agger out, Kellly out, Borini out and Shelvey suspended at least 3 games!

Next game against WBrom on Wednesday. Will be interesting to see which players BR fields there!
