never been a fan of wisdom, until now. he is on a different level to flanno, hopefully wisdom's emergence will move kelly into CB and if he's good there maybe he can just slot right in and replace carra. and with a bit of luck maybe wisdom can replace johnson. so when we lose 2 very experienced defenders and replace them with 2 academy products. am i living in cloud coo-coo land?
as for the other youngsters; pacheco, wasn't in his favoured position, however his movement and energy and pace were all poor, suso: although with the ball he is exceptional without it he doesn't make any runs or really move at all. shelvey was brilliant. hendo was okay, possession was 50/50 -i think- so he and sahin didn't dominate the ball enough. hendo's heart is completely in the right place but he is just okay and i might end up being wrong but i don't think he will anything other than okay. assaidi, not my type of player. he looks like he could make 1 player look like a fool but wouldn't have a clue what to do against the next player.

Wisdom's not tall enough to play CB at top level. Looked far better than Flanno last night though. More composed, less rash in the challenge. Physically stronger too.
In God we trust. Everyone else is a suspect.

What we have learned is that Borini should have scored. He missed a sitter when he should have tapped Coates header in! Dont want to be negative but it was an easy chance! I think that's a bit harsh on him. If he had made contact he may have just pushed it onto the defender that was right in front of him. What he did was to put that defender off who started going the way the ball was and then checked up because of Borrini. He was just trying to glance it in, missed, put a defender off and it went in anyway. Good job in my eyes. He's not on the pitch to put any defender off. He's there to ram that ball home from 4 yards out. What happens if he misses and the ball goes wide? Chance gone! He wasn't to know he was putting defender off. Lucky it went in if you ask me! Like i said i dont want to be negative but that is a five a side chance!

I really think Andy Caroll would have been useful yesterday, more than Borini according to me.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Agreed. Being able to win a header is more about timing than height. Look at Fowler and Crouch - there must be the best part of a foot difference in height but I'd put my money on Fowler winning the ball 9 times out of 10.

No one played themselves into first team contention from the starting 11 last night. Suso showed one or two bright sparks, people are desperate to exagerate his performance on here though, just like they are with every flavour of the year youngster. He showed promise and nothing more. Pacheco was really added nothing, but we didn't have midfield control so he couldn't impact as he isn't someone who can lead the line in that kind of game. Wisdom looked solid, wanna see more of him although we are actually strong in the right back department. Some 'seniors' played themselves out of a place though, enrique and downing both very poor against a poor side. Borini makes great runs, just needs to score! Shelvey looked good.

Agree, no younster convinced that they are ready to start yet, some showed promise.
