Who spotted him and brought him to Anfield?

I think he's a total bargain buy and will be the next England powerhouse AM/CM.

He will wear the next no.8 when stevie hangs up his boots.

Kenny recommended him to Rafa and the academy coaches, he had been doing very well for Charlton at the time.

Rafa Benitez, but I'm sure someone will try and discredit him....

i've said for a long tim -as have a lot of people- that shelvey is a very talented young player, still on 20. i think he is the next lampard or scholes depending on whether he becomes a goal scoring CM or a game controlling CM could quite easily become top class in either role. but he isn't the next gerrard is isn't explosive, nor powerful enough. as long as lucas' career isn't all but over; lucas, shelvey, allen is gonna be a special CM trio.

how do you know it was kenny and not any number of scouts that we have?

That was the story at the time, doesn't really matter now.

It seems unlikely, as kenny wasn't doing any scouting for us. He was club ambassador and played a minor role at our academy.

no reason to suggest why he couldnt recommend a player. after all we was involved in the acadamy and i would presume received alot of respect from other lfc stuff, if he recommended someone am sure they would have paid some attention to it and had a look at the player out of respect if anything else

yeh kenny probs recommended him to rafa and rafa probs scouted and done the rest. not that it matters he's a liverpool player and is doing well atm so hope he continues to have a great season.
