Anyway, back on topic......

Has anyone else noticed how much BR comes across rather like David Brent in the documentary? Some very cringeworthy moments.
The only good bit was when he was telling Flanagan how to play and reminding him that he isn't Cafu.....no sh!t!!!!!

see this is why i dont want to watch it. i mean, what the fck are we doing this for. its sad and even though i havent seen it, it appears from comments that it has been dumbed down and like all reality shows, staged to the hilt.

Definitely staged, boring and very forced. Some people have commented that they find it interesting to learn about the player's lives away from football.....but there's is so little content that they might as well not have bothered. We learnt that gerrard and his wife are as boring as hell without a bean of personality between them, and that generally speaking the players like their families.
It couldn't have been more cringeworthy if BR had directed it to self-promote himself.

I really don't know who the target audience is. It wouldn't draw me in as a non-football fan and it wouldn't convince me to support them if I was on the fence; quite the opposite in fact. If the aim is entertain existing fans and to give them what they want, then why was scott boggins, a man who has only ever made boxing documentaries, in the US, brought in as the producer?

Give it a miss flames-Happy Gilmore is on at 9pm on friday aswell, and that gives a far better insight into golf than 'being: liverpool' does for football.

I can't believe he has a self portrait, thats just weird,funny and a bit disturbing. I did hear he talks some load of david brent nonsense on it. Not going to watch it, from what i'v been told its boring as hell. Meant for Americans not us.

I must the only one who actually liked it, Sure there were cringeworthy moments, But overall I thought it was quite good.

I just didnt like it when BR possibly lied about Carroll, If he doesnt rate him which is obvious, Why did he say he does?

maybe its aimed at a younger audience, young fans/ build for the future and all that. the reality tv generation. i.e. morons.

Maybe they plan on having a 'text-vote' later in the series so the viewers can pick the team....and a results show later in the evening presented by bob carolgees...
