I have listened to talksport all day and some of this evening and just been on to a Man Utd forum as callers on Talksport havce been really supportive and along with other fans find it of some conselation in all this they are in full support of Liverpool as a city , There was 1 member on the forum explaining to a younger member what went on as he did not fully understand , I had to check I was not on another Liverpool forum for a second.

All football fans were very supportive in the weeks immediately after Hillsborough. But the three who were tops in order are Everton, Celtic and then of all clubs Man Utd. Their fans and scarfs were very much in evidence on the floral display on the pitch and outside the ground. It touched me so much a few years ago I laid a Liverpool scarf at the aniversary of the Munich disaster on the statue outside the ground.

If you think this means there won't still be any sick chants from the visiting United fans, think again.

The support that is coming is from older and more knowledgeable fans that have been supporting their respective clubs for 30,40 years odd that know and understand what a tragedy that was. I expect the same crap next week from the younger and cocky ones and not just from United, sadly there will be a lot of Evra chants as well from our sets of supporters. Nothing will change.

I see Ferguson has piped in on this affair and for once he appears to have the measure of it. I sense there has been efforts a number of times in the last few years to try and improve the relationships of the two clubs.

If I recall both Kenny and Ferguson had expressed a desire to see things more respectful going forward.

The Suarez affair did nothing to help as it did seem that there had been a turning point up to then.

Hopefully things will be better than usual at Anfield although I will believe it when I see it.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I remember when there was a the minutes silence for Tony Bland we were playing Utd at Anfield and a lone Utd supporter shouted in it. The Utd fans rounded on him. Most Liverpool and Utd fans are decent people both clubs have their few clowns. I expect no chanting on munich or hillsborough whatsoever at next sundays game and I bet you at the Hillsborough memorial there will be flowers and scarves from Utd fans.

As we all know the clowns always attract more attention from the media than the vast majority who are decent compassionate human beings.
