I'm not sure of the rules regarding loans, nor do i suggest that any player would be open to such a move but........
Is it possible to take someone on a short term loan (i think the rules are a max of 3 months for short term loans) with a view to a permanent move in the transfer window in Jan. Meaning at the end of september a player could be brought in on the loan and sign permanent in jan...

I don't think so? I think the window is still open for some other European Leagues, but as far as the PL goes, it only applies to outgoing PL players, and not the other direction. I think that's the way it is, I stand to be corrected on that one.

I think there is a emergency window for clubs who suffer injurys etc..

I doubt we would qualify for an emergency loan for a forward as we put ourselves in this position, Do not have any injury worries at present.

But if Suarez and Borini were injured maybe we could get someone in..

Ah the PL have different rules to the Football league then. Im sure the football league allow short term loans until november sometime

i think emergency loans only apply to goalkeepers
