Suarez is without doubt our best player. He may miss chances but he is far from awful and if you think he is you may as well support netball. It's about what he can create and that bit of magic he can produce. So he didn't do it in the first game of the season but I bet you if he wasn't on the field, those chances he missed wouldn't have even been created. never mind what you create, if you play up front and you cost over 20 million pounds you deal in goals, simple as, he scored goals for Uraguay and also Ajax so it's not as if he has'nt got it in him, what it is, is that he has stepped up a level and has struggled to find the net since he has arrived. If we never created chances or if he never created them for himself you may have a point, but he does get chances and he also misses them by the bucket load, he will probably score an outstanding overhead kick against City on Sunday then go two months without a goal, this is the type of player he is, if you think thats fine for a striker for Liverpool no problem, I think we need a better return than that.

We have to start with assaidi on sunday,he is really talented and got what it takes...also we have to get rid of adam and spearing, they just don't fit for me..sahin would be a good signing as gerrard won't be fit for all the games...

You dont rate him but others do.
It's all about opinions.
But then you are not worried about Sunday's match and you were advocating that we more or less forfeit the result.
Therefore I'm not sure why you are worried about how Suarez plays.

A draw would be a good result for us but we deffinately have to go for the win bcos we can't afford to start dropping points at this stage, will really affect the confidence of the players..cara on bench, coates to start, its about time we stop all these sentiments.cara is no longer himself...kelly must be on the bench too..johnson to start..

Awful Suarez
Dont really know what to say to that.
I respect your opinion You don't really need to say anything. It's nothing we haven't hear 100 times already from this person. Suarez is in no way, shape or form, "awful". We know that, Shagdog

I'm surprised so many people seem to be calling for Stevie to be left out. He wasn't himself against West Brom, but everybody is entitled to an off day. He also came out after it and put his hands up and said he wanted to take a large part of the blame himself, so he obviously realises he wasn't up to scratch.
Even if Sahin is confirmed tomorrow, there's no way he'll play against City on Sunday.
I'd expect: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique (IF fit. If not, Kelly at RB, Johnson LB); Lucas, Allen, Gerrard; Suarez, Borini, Downing.
I'd be very surprised if that wasn't the lineup. Coates may be in for a shout of playing ahead of Carra, but I think for a game against a team such as City, it'd be too big a risk and that he'd have to opt for the experience of Carra.
As it stands, I think our team is that predictable. Assaidi may make the bench, but he's a bit of an unknown quantity to us at the moment. Whether he'll push to be a starter in the near future or not is anyone's guess. I can't see Carroll starting, especially with him having a slight bit of hamstring trouble. I can't see Joe Cole pushing Borini or even Downing out of the starting lineup. Maybe the closest would be Shelvey, but I can't even see any of the midfield trio being ousted.
Sahin coming in will add a bit of much needed competition, and one or 2 more before next week would be great for the squad.

I'd be very surprised if thats not the staring line up with only Sterling really pushing to oust any of that 11. As for Suarez and Gerrard critics, they are far and away the best we have. Maybe they both try and do too much in the current climate but put a bit more quality around them and they will both show their class.

I'm scared due to the reason if carra starts he will be torn to shreds by tevez nasri or EVEN dzeko! Coates has to start let him feel the big game amotosphere!
Suarez is crucial for sunday, if he has a good game I can see us winning, but I'd take a draw right now

I think we'll win to be honest. We will score first early and hold out for a 1-0 nil, defence has to be stubborn to stop city's strike force, difficult without Agger but whoever starts should be on his game for such a match.
