I know its only 1 game but it appears to be the same problem as per last season! Outside of the first few minutes we played all over WBA and Suarez should have scored at least twice given his chances but failed to do so. He is a class player but needs to work drastically on his finishing so can brgin putting sides to the sword.
we were crap in the second half but should have been ahead and i doubt the 2nd penalty was there!
We need a quality finisher in front if goals or it could be a repeat of last season.
Lets hope we get one soon or at least give Andy Carroll a chance!

What are we doing to him?!?! He cleary is a brilliant striker/finisher but can't do it in red for some reason. A rate of 1 in 3 for our 'main man' isn't very impressive - but even that record is flattered by a high number of goals against poor teams.
He probably wouldn't have had to create as many chances himself last season as he would at Ajax but at times he is very wasteful. I still believe though that he can hit a run of form and score 20 goals this season
It would cost us a fair oul whack of cash to release Joe Cole. If we got rid of Adam and Spearing for 7/8 million combined I'd be more than happy with that. If we were able to add Downing into the mix for another 7 maybe and spent the money on either a striker or Adam Johnson for 10 million it would be serious business.
Cole is going to be difficult to get rid of due to his wages. Another loan deal would be best even to remove half his wages.
Just a suggestion but what about Borini? what about playing hin as the spearhead and Suarez as a support to him making the chances? He seems a more natural finisher than Suarez.
