I still think that the current american owners are still comminig to terms with what's needed to run a club in the Prem. They have granted, recognised the need for a bigger stadium but to get that it's going to be the cheap option and expand Anfield. The same can be said for the team, While they keep making statement after statement about not being held to ransome over inflated players prices and wage demands for top players,what they are forgeting if we don't pay up then someone else will!! and without batting an eyelid. This is why H&G struggled thre thought they would get a big club on the cheap no need to put in a great deal of money to improve it to get the biggest return, but when it came down to the crunch they had no idea how much money they would have to put in and that's when our club went into the biggest decline of it's illustrious history. So back to John Henry, it's good that the club is on it's way up, but to get to the top you need to spend money and lots of it, every now and again you stummble across the gem that nobody else has found and get him on the cheap ie Sammi Hyypia the thing is though so is everybody else. So while the owners spend money on looking for that cheap undiscovered talent at what point do they wake up and think hey we have spent £xm on 5 players when we could of spent nearly that on a world class player ready to go and can do the job he's bought for just like Bacon face did with RVP.

All these players are finishers/poachers, all are realistic and all wouldnt break the bank

Inter have even put Pazzini on the transfer list

was about to mention Pazzini myself. also Negredo from Sevilla is worth a look.
Soldado on the other hand just signed a new contract and already refused a Spurs offer this summer.upon signing the new deal for Valencia he said he wants to end his career there.

We have plenty of cover in CM. Lucas, Gerrard, Shelvey, Spearing, Adam, Henderson...

What cover do we hve up front?.... Very little to none...

And even still, Borini is unproven and i wouldnt call Suarez or Carroll a finisher

I'm more concerned over the question who's gonna score when those 3 are NOT injured!

JayGB and Smithlee you honestly think that Adam, spearing and henderson are good enough cover then that's up to you.but for me it's just as important to stop conceeding goals as much as scoring them, i think that there is more chance of us conceeding goals rather than scoring them because of the poor quality midfeild we have who's job is not just to attack but defend as well. Our stikers may not be world class but I do think they are in a better state than the midfield is at the moment.
