I'm sorry that some people have been removed but if people don't show respect to the community and don't post constructively, then it doesn't help. People end up fighting, discussions are ruined and so on.

We don't want to ban anyone although in reality they're not technically banned as they'd be welcome to return, it all kicked off BIG timeunlike others, but they've made no attempts to come back and comply with our simple rules.

We don't set out to move out popular people but rules are rules and it's better to have a friendlier forum than one constantly at war. If we need to move others out we will but hopefully it will settle down now.

Pity you didn't do something about it in June 2011 then when it all kicked off..

My mum was critically ill in 2011 and I wasn't around to oversee the forums as much as now. I spent 8 months in hospital with her every day and my 'online' time was limited. She passed away earlier this year.

But even during that difficult time I was still observing the forums and I read every notification when someone complained about posts and I can assure you that when someone stepped out of line, even though I was working from a laptop and a dongle at hospital, I removed anyone that overstepped the line.

We can only review threads that are reported, it's not possible to see everything. If a thread isn't reported, we can't act.

If you are unhappy with the way we moderate our forums you're free to leave at any time.

I know and appreciate what was going on regarding your mother at that difficult time, as I and probably the vast majority in here have or will have similar experiences regarding loved ones during their life time.

With regard to the highlighted section ^^^, I wasn't aware that you were the only one monitoring the forum and complaints. Who is this 'community manager' that makes the occasional appearance, and was he or she not 'holding the fort' during your 8 months of trauma?
Where were the mods, as they could all see the vile disgusting personal abuse and nastiness that was going on between me and the seemingly precious EMP?
Murph was a mod at the time, and he assured me back then that the matter had been reported.
To this day I still don't know what the outcome was.

Granted I got sucked into hurling as good as I got back, but in the end, enough was enough. Constantly being called a racist, a NAZI and Hitlar was just too much, especially from a faceless 'BRAVE' keyboard warrior, and I had to get away from it until I finally found out he'd been finally removed later on last year.
That's it, in a nutshell.

With regard to me getting out if I don't like the way the site is moderated, voluterily I won't, simply because that would please the instigator of last years trouble, and I'd rather cut off my arm than make him even remotely happy.
