Reina: (7) made a couple of really good saves, did what he could.
Johnson: (5) didn't do much wrong but don't like him on the left because he can't really cross.
Skrtel: (1) cost us 2 goals and was awful.
Agger: (5) would get better if he wasn't sent off. Was sent of for a brush on the back that started what looked like outside the box. Feel sorry for him trying to cover up for Skrtel's mistake.
Kelly: (5) didn't do much wrong, but didn't do much at all.
Allen: (7) best outfield player on the pitch, thought he was decent for his first game.
Lucas: (6) tried his best, but could have been a bit more aggressive.
Gerrard: (2) looked like he couldn't care less, was awful and didn't do anything.
Boroni: (4) started of shaky, but got better as the game progressed. One of the only players that was still trying in the end.
Suarez: (5) it's like he assumes that he will continue to get chance after chance so he doesn't worry to much about getting it on target. He could of had us in the lead, but like last season can't get it on target.
Downing: (3) isn't good on the right, couldn't cross.

Carra: (3) slow, enough said.
Cole: (3) who, the guy who invaded the pitch.
Carroll: (4) didn't do much.

I think Gerrard needs someone to challenge him and put him on the bench a bit more to make him think, he seems to have lost his passion and didn't have the leadership qualities that you would hope for during this game.

Downing and Johnson need to be on their proper sides because none of them can consistntly cross from the sides they were on. That was obvious.

Gerrard got a 2? .....that's very honest. He needs to be played up front somewhere out of harms way.

I was very disappointed in Gerrard, he looked like he didn't give a [oops]. Hadno passion and didn't even try and get a shot in. He needs to have some competition to keep him on his toes.

If Sahin arrives, thats his compeition right there.

anyone think gerrard needs a move? he's been like that for a while, kinda accepting we can't compete. maybe play out his last years under mourinho and get someone in thats gonna believe and have a bit of passion. if he left and we got dempsey and demble might be good for us.

a lof players didnt play well. it was over confidence and while there are some areas where they did improve, they were passing without really knowing why. i got the impression they just knew they were supposed to be passing and moving but never really understood where, why or how.

Reina - 5: Still in cheerleader mode. Should have collected a few crosses, particularly the one for the third goal. Defence was in diarray and his organising of the defence was shambolic.
Kelly - 4: had a stinker. Needs to move on.
Skrtel - 1: Value just plummeted. Looked like a pub defender. Martin needs to stop letting his twin brother playing for him now.
Agger - 6: played well until sending off. Skrtel's slip got him sent off and we were cast adrift after that. If he gets sold, we'll be in dire straits.
Johnson - 7: Did very well defensively and offesnsively.
Lucas - 9: At his usual imperious best. When he got subbed the team fell apart
Allen - 4: did nothing
Gerrard - 2: looked a shadow of his former self
Downing - 4: kept getting tackled, needs to add more to his game
Borini - 2: did nothing from LW, BR should have realised that and got the poor lad into the game
Suarez - 3: sitter misser. Shocked to see so many chances go begging

Cole - 0: came on, got injured. Same old story
Carra - 1: nightmare.
Carroll - 5: not enough time for impact

BR - 2: bad performance. Needs to re-think tactics and fast.

And there's me thinking Allen was one of our better players yesterday.
