Same old same old!
Yes i know this will go down as very negative after only the first game but i think it needs saying!
Over the past few season since xabi left we have had no creativity in the center of the field, Yes gerrard has a great pass but compared to the likes of xabi there is no comparison.
We get the ball in the center and then we just run out of idea's? No cutting edge.How many times do you see the ball going backwards and side ways instead of the decisive killer ball which always seems to happen against us?
The main fear i have on this is that players like Allen who could be a bit more creative will always look for Gerrard instead of the killer pass.
Creativity in this side needs addressing quick as teams know just to sit back against us and then look for the counter when we give the ball away usual by unforced errors.
I really do hope that this is one of Liverpool's many first day games that we don't usually do well in but if im honest im not convinced.
