Watched the lads Debut live!! Was happy with the debut. Was a good game to find his feet and get some fitness in.

Anybody notice anything different with Liverpool in the second half? Aquilani was getting into good positions in the first half but the rest of the Liverpool players looked scared to give the ball to him.

Second half was like Rafa had said. Alberto is the playmaker and we must look from him at all times. Let him set the tempo of our game.Adleast Half a dozen balls from Riena Alberto collected and it seemed they were all looking to get him on the ball. Which was somthing Alonso was trusted with. And before Alonso it was Gerrard.

It's not only time on the pitch that will help him settle in. It's him getting comfortable on the ball! So it was a smart move by Rafa.

I was at the game you could see he has class. However he looked very rusty gave the ball away a few times but you could see what he was trying to do. I agree Liverpool players seemed cautious about passing to him. For me Rafa now needs to play him as a regular the guy desperately needs games to get match fit and get used to the premiership and to develop an understanding with his team mates. He is a playmaker and playmakers need to gell with the team. I for one will be very disappointed with Rafa if he plays safe and has him on bench for villa. In fact if he does big questions need to be asked.

Looked very good, wants to use the ball with effect quickly or move it on, not like Lucas or mash who take to much out of it at times, With him in the middle he will make the other two look good again, Roll on getting games in and play Pacheco as well

I agree highwayman. Pacheco is long overdue for a few first team games. I would have him on the bench for the next few games at least.

I agree whith most of you. You can see he has got the visio, but he does need some match rithm. Give him another month or so and you'll see that the lad adapts.

Aquaman has the potential and i think the grave mistake at this stage would be for us to draw comparisons with Alonso. Aquilani needs time to gel and get used to the premiership

so far fitness aside, he looks promising. He has got the range and i hope he can chip in with a few goals. I particular like the way he passes forward and that releases Gerrard to look up and start the attack with pace.

I think the main issue is his fitness and sharpness!! His probably use to having more time on the ball in the Serie A were in the prem you get closed down very quickly!.

How he adapts to that will be the main issue. Clearly the Physical aspects did'nt bother him. It was mainly the quickness of his feet that let him down.

Better Prospect then Lucas or Mascherano! Has vision to knock the ball foward and create!
