Fernandez. J, that's Suso... right?

Looking forward to the new NextGen season, there's some surprisingly good football on offer.

Sterling is still playing next Gen?...what he learns 5 mins in a first team game is one game in the next Gen.

he is better off sitting on the bench and trying to stretch defense when they are tiring. he is going to be quite an impact player for us with his speed on the wings...especially when he cuts in...

but i suppose he needs some game time here and there...

Sorry, but unless you're an expert on youth development in football then I can't see how you can possibly know that. It's youth team football that has got Sterling to the point he's at now, it has hardly damaged his development so far has it? And when you consider that he's only 18, he still had a lot of development ahead of him. If you've seen any of the NextGen games, you'll know it's a cut above the regular reserve team league games the lads play and I believe this level of competition is something that has been missing from youth development in football for a long time.

I'm sure Sterling will play a mix on first team/reserve team football this season and it'll all benefit his development.

this competition could also help us to notice quality young players that we can bring to the club, just like it happened with the kid from Sporting.
