Coconut fever is it?

Personally I'd prefer a creative left footer.
In Borini/Sterling/Cole I think our left side is basically sorted but I'd like to see Ramirez come in as he's able to play on the right or central so we could use him instead of Downing or in place of Stevie pending injuries that are sure to come up.
If we're to get Sahin as well and release/sell Adam and/or Spearing I think we'll have a very solid squad.

well reina did come out into no mans land twice, charging after throw balls, and his kicking wasn't at his usual level.

i wasn't excepting anything, wasn't excepting anything from any of our pre-season matches. doesn't change the fact that the game was crap, it's an observation not a criticism.

First action I have seen this pre-season so far and I was very impressed with the levels of fitness especially Kelly and Shelvey. But the biggest surprise was seeing Andy Carroll. He looks like he has shed another stone in weight during the summer. He is never going to be the quickest but he certainly looked sharp especially with his movement for his goal. I would like to see us keep him because of the other option it gives us.

How many more players do we need? I would want 3 more. One striker and one right winger and a decent back up keeper. The rest of what we already have can be used as cover or like Johnson/Downing/Kelly can play in 2 positions. Even if we lost Agger we would not need much more. Adam/Spearing could also go.

If these youngsters are going to come through we can't keep blocking their path with another player who is just going to be on the bench for 70% of the season on £40k+ a week.

dont know what game house was watching but i have to say as far as friendlys go it was a good game. the second have wasnt the best but the 1st half was decent. sterling and johnjo looked good and adam looks like he is picking up from where he left off last season
