It makes no difference how Uraguay play or what they do on the pitch if someone wants to support th as a team against another team them that is their individual choice!

I'm not for one minute advocating rough play or conduct but that has nothing to do with who someone wants to support!

fair question why support uruguay over GB are those people supporting uruguay in all olympic events ?

It may just be their preference at the time against Team GB. Doesn't necessarily mean they have to support them in every other Olympuc event! In that particular instance they wanted Uraguay to beat Team GB..... Nothing wrong with that is there?

I merely gathered some factual information that showed his argument was lacking in facts and his accusations completely false.

I dont support Team GB or Uruguay. But I dont think posters should go unchallenged when they post statements that are untrue.

It's a simple choice and preference at the time! Maybe there are more players at Uraguay that someone likes than in Team GB. Maybe the like th style that Uraguay play! Maybe they simply decided to support Uraguay in that particular game! Many answers as to why and why not!

I support NZ in everything. But if Uruguay were against GB in most things, I would go for Uruguay because I like underdogs.

Just because someone supports them in a particular game doesn't mean they need to support them in another. There may be someone else to support in fencing or sailing!
