A change of manager is surely whats needed to knock this squad together. I believe Rafa has lost the dressing room.

I think he lost the dressing room in the summer, After finishing second last year and the squad only went backwards with the exception of Glen Johnson. That put a bad feeling in the squad that has just never recovered, Everything that is going on in the back ground is finally coming out in the team

I agree in pre season with all the alonso crap we looked very very poor i was in spain to watch the espanyol friendly and that was very very bad.

I watched the Pompey game again this morning and to be honest it was worse the 2ND time round. All bull aside of who wants Rafa and who wants rid of him, we where terrible. You could not tell which team was after CL football and trying to stay up!!!!!!.

Rafa's teams have never played the expansive football that we were spoiled with for years at Liverpool, but they always had a foothold in the game, That is now gone.

If we do not score first now that's it, game over...... and even now this year that is not enough. The list is endless, Arsenal who i would have said are a frail team that can be bullied around, came to Anfield and completely made fools of us in the second half in a game our captain called "a cup final". Now nobody give me this "it was a unlucky OG" that got us, IT WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF WE WHERE PUSHING TO KILL THE GAME OFF.

The team is in melt down, we only have 4 maybe 5 games before 4Th spot is gone (if our form does not improve). yep. im afraid we won't make it...but we still have to try and save the season and the only way seem to be by getting rid of rafa.
