He is one of our most consistent defenders, and he one of the few who is rarely, if ever, injured. It would take 20 million + for me, and only if we had a ready replacement.

For RB? Sure. For CB? Not yet. Although he's a natural CB, he doesn't have enough first team experience at CB. Neither does Coates. They could both be fabulous in little while, but not yet.

Agree with the masses - he's had one good season. Anything over £10m would see us on the right end of a transfer for a change. Ship him out and bring in Agger's international partner, Simon Kjaer. He's available (£8-£9m) and wants out.

Kelly a better out and out footballer and passer of the ball than Skittles. Might suit the way Rodgers wants his defenders to play. The pressing type of game he demands will mean we should be pressing higher up the field and taking pressure off defenders. Just saying that if he wants away good riddance as we have a natural replacement already. if we can also go and buy a couple of players with the money then even better!

Even Gerrard once considered leaving. Poor argument. Gerrard had at least lifted numerous trophies and earned the right to ask for more commitment from the club regarding building a winning side. Skrtel has put in a few decent performances over a 5 year period and seems it merits him wanting a move?! Wonder where he was in the cup final when Drogba was putting in a man of the match display?! He needs to shut his mouth or he needs to be flogged! I'd like to see both myself! He has given the club 5 years. I don't think he really owes us anything. He will be sold at a profit and can further his career. We can get in a decent replacement for less money and have some left over. Everyone wins. I don't see why we would be complaining so much?

He's not as good in the air though. The reason Agger and Skytel work so well together is that they play different roles that complement each other. Kellyu is more like Agger. Coates is more like Skyrtel, though not quite ready yet.

If he's not committed then he may as well go.
We can't really expect much this season which will be another wasted season for player who are at or around their peak, Skrtle being one of them. If this is going to affect his mindset then there's no point in him sticking around.
With 2 years left on his contract we should get a decent price. if £20 million, then sell unless he really wants to stay.
Only problem is, the rumour is that Barcelona will be coming in for Agger too. A few last minute raids during this transfer window could mess up BRs plans big time.

As soon as Skrtel becomes linked with other clubs, fans now disregard his talent and underrate him. He was showing signs of a solid defender from the 2008-9 season, last season was where he showcased his full potential. If anything the least I would take is 15m, however I would try best to keep him. Agger and Skrtel complement each other really well.

If anything the least I would take is 15m, however I would try best to keep him. Agger and Skrtel complement each other really well. Being linked is one thing but asking for Liverpool to agree to negotiate is unacceptable. Nobody is knocking his ability. He's a solid defender but shouldn't be making waves.
