I agree. The big players should have a B team that plays in the championship or league 1.

Seems to work pretty well elsewhere.

Yep.

I think it would be better than those totally uninteresting reserves games.

Decent players in top clubs would actually be seen playing competitive football - not in the first league, but in the second...

Another way of moving forwards in this issue would be to install a wage cap for the clubs (like they have in the NHL). That would prevent top clubs like Barca and Real from tearing down a whole league, as they have done now.

First you have a draft system where the lowest positioned teams get to pick players first, the wage cap on top of that, and finally B-teams in lower leagues. I think a system like that might actually work.

This is not the case in Spain. Barcaelona B came 2nd in the Sagunda a few season ago so they would of qualified to the Primera but they have rules there that no club can have two teams in one division. If Barca had been relegated that season then Barca B would of been promoted. Also If say Barca gets relegated, Barca B also gets relegated to the first or second division depending on where they are. I think its a perfect system, I agree with pops that it can bring a lot of talent out and this can only benefit England in the long run.

I really think that would be good for us. Then we wouldn't have to loan our players out to championship sides.

Like I said, it seems to work very well in other countries, so what's the issue?

Well then make a rule so they are they're own team within their own right and if they get those players then they need to go through the transfer proses. Plus if the goal is to make the younger lads gain experience, then by bringing in those players they aren't really helping.

well he was bought from the barca academy, so i think under rodgers it might suit him more than other regimes so might finally see him get a chance. just hope he can take it as i think theres a good wee player there, did well on loan at norwich just needs games to sharpen up im guessing.
