I like his talk but don't think the talent is there to match. His shooting is poor and his passing isn't great either.

What do others think

Not good enough unfortunately, good attitude but thats it.

Agreed cj, Despite the mitigating factor of him being local and consequently all lfc fans wishing him well, I just don't think he is good enough, the only qualification I would add is that at his age he might yet make the step up, I hope he does but I'm not confident.

i think he would struggle in Rodgers team as he constantly gives away possession

i don't think he's good enough just yet, he can certainly improve.

he's good enough to play back up to lucas, a decent squad player

if a year ago we were linked with joe allen you would have said the same about him too... not good enough

maybe rodgers can help aid his career as a footballer, time will tell

Allen is much better than spearing i would say

yes he has got age on his side but for me he isn't improving year on year

would love him to be good enough but i dont think he is

yes so would i he never lacks commitment just the talent to make it at this level

commitment was never in question with jay but the talent has always been

he just gives the ball away every time is see him as his passing is not that good
