Correction we used to be good at war after the defence cuts we could not pull a skin off a rice pudding.
And while we are at this subject most of our wars (which were just by the way) were fought with scots, welsh, irish, canada, south africa, new zealand, nepal - have I missed any ?
Many of comments above are nonsense english are no different to anyone else in any country. People of all characters.

Good pop at Ireland again  why cant we have a pop at rival teams, it's a forum, if you cant laugh at a p!ss poor rival when they get hammered when can you laugh at one, dont understand what all the fuss is about, it's an english forum afterall. Is this an English forum that is news to me! I see people from everywhere here and the boss lives in Spain?

I see people from everywhere here and the boss lives in Spain? but its a lfc forum and liverpool are an english team and our captain is captain of the england team , 6 of our players are in the england team and one of our ex managers is england manager , so pretty much england i think when it come to international football , and even better is roy and steven are doing great up to now .

no one is getting touchy about ireland being [oops]. we know we were [oops], no one is saying any different. the issue here is some people are trying to turn a liverpool forum into some kind of nationalist rally. its not on and will not be tolerated. Listen if you want to turn this topic into some sort of national debate then thats up to you, my comments are all about how poor and embarrassing the Irish football team is nothing more nothing less, if it's a Liverpool forum like you said why are people on here talking about International Football, my comments are all regarding the International football side of things, I never started this topic I am just commenting on it, the problem is there are fans on here who cant handle the truth that there International team is sh*t.

If you look at the name of this topic it was always going to cause controversy, when you use the word English and Arrogance together people are always going to start bringing up National stuff like this. I am not the biggest fan of England but would like to see Roy Hodgson do well as I would like him to prove a few people as in Liverpool fans wrong for dismissing him as a good manager for Liverpool which I think was very harsh indeed.

Manager was at LFC for a few months. 6 players are in the England squad 2 or 3 in the team. Did most people not slate Kenny for buying English players? Current manager and last northern Ireland and Scottish so does that make it pretty much scottish/Irish? Was LFC Spain under rafa and this a Spanish forum not being smart I just don't understand the logic?
