I think it's your sly comparisons to the likes of the Faroes on top of your apparent dislike of all things OOT that causes people to take offence (or you perceive them to take offence when they're just wondering your issue with Ireland)

Theres also a world of difference between an English forum and an Enlgish club teams forum.

I dont' mind you having a pop, it's all fair enough. Ireland were poor.

But I dont' see where you get the "it's an English forum" from. We write in English, but it's not an English forum. It's a Liverpool forum.
ofcorse it's an English teams football forum, last time I looked Liverpool was part of England and the Football Club comes under the English Football Association which means it's an English team. There is no problem at all with people adopting Liverpool as there team but to somehow suggest that Liverpool does not belong to England first and foremost and is somehow global is ridiculous to say the least. If I was a Celtic supporter and went on to there forum the day after England had been beaten and knocked out of the Euro Championships I would fully expect to see England getting ridiculed, I would'nt dream of going on and telling the Scottish fans that I was offended just because England got beat which is what is happening on here just because am laughing at a p1ss poor Ireland side who are embarrassing.

its not your words but more the tone. Banter usually involves humour and I as English as I am do not find you funny.

banter would be 'Ireland is now English as Lizzy bought it for 7billion last year, hence her visit to see what she had bought - boom, boom' it is ok to have a laugh about other teams but be creative and not so condescending. You make yourself look like to local idiot who turns up in his colour bad mouthing anyone or more commonly known as 'first to be punched' after a match.

All nations suffer silly fans there is no getting away from it but i feel its a bit harsh to to tar every fan with the same brush, pride may be hurt at times and its hard for some to admit it but with all the moaning about losses and how bad the the team can be as it fails in most tournaments then English fans cant be that arrogant if they are prepared to criticize their team as much as I've heard them do.

I agree... But in relation to arrogance, the English are unsurpassed in football. Sure in 1949 Ireland were the first international team to beat England at home in England, yet most of you still say it was Hungary. This can only be because you are arrogant due to a fear of admitting inferiority in any capacity at anytime...Ireland also beat you in the most recent game played in Ireland but the England supporters were sore losers and rioted which cancelled the game. tut, tut!
Whose really bothered about results from years ago, all that matters is now and the Ireland team is a p*ss poor outfit, an embarrassment and have been quite rightly labeled the worst team in the competition, watching there fans crying into there beer was like watching the United fans after City had just pipped them for the League, funny, like I say if you cant gloat on an English teams football forum when a rival football nation gets beat when can you.

Probably never? What is there to gloat about when Ireland don't do well? Do you see them at the same level as England? It's not like when France fell apart at the world cup and you could compare England to them or even holland this year. You seem to have a preoccupation with Ireland with the sole intention of winding us up. It doesnt really bother me but those are the facts

There IS an attitude amongst the 'english'. We're part of the united kingdom but don't have any kind of respect for wales, scotland or ireland whatsoever, let alone other european countries. That said, we're pretty good at war so let's leave it at that.
