and then got handed lots of money and bought crap for them in the prem ....... great players very rarely make great managers and keane is just another example of that

he is roy keane and so the pot of players willing to go there increases because they want to play for him ...... you have to admit he bought badly - too many lightweight players like malbranque and reid and he was dumb enough to buy diouf which says it all lol

I mentioned Keane - you obviously did not pick up on the sarcasism. Keane is a joke. He's proven time and time again with his back to the wall he would rather walk than stay and fight. My point was that if you lose Rafa well then you are hardly an attractive proposition for any manager worth his salt given the boardroom situation. Rafa won't leave i hope. Get behind him and SUPPORT the club.

Yes such a shame the knee jeckers haven't got their way, we could have sacked Rafa, would probably have lost tonight and they may have been happy... an away win in Madrid, terrible result...

Roy Keane's a great idea.

Even better though, i hear that Gary Neville has passed all his coaching badges and would be a young, hungry up'n'comer.

we could bring Kelvin McKenzie in to help him with the media side of things.

Viva la Nevilleution

oh give it up gen - both keane and o'neill's teams are long ball teams - both want one big man up front with quick players around them to play off the nod ons ....... not good footie at all

there is no one better than rafa around

You're really not joking with this Keane thing are you?

you say we're 'nearly there', simple question how 'nearly there' did you feel the club were when Benitez took over? the answer is light years away, in 4 years on less nett money than the teams around him, he has taken the club from competing with Everton, Birmingham, Tottenham and Newcastle for the final CL spot to a team that is argubly 2nd best in the country, behind only a Man U team that are able to leave £30 million pound strikers on the bench in CL games.

Like i've said elsewhere, i don't think he's perfect and some of his decisions baffle me, but if you honestly think Roy 'Luis Garcias Bitch' Keane can do a better job then I honestly despair!
