The most underperforming position in the team for many years which really needs excellent replacement, would like to hear from each of u guys who would u like to see in this place, and what skills should be required

Ramirez or Adam Johnson. (Glen Jonson playing RW wouldn't be bad either).

adam johnson, marco reus, ibrahim affelay

eljero elia could be picked up cheap but he has only started 1 game this season, maybe theres a good reason for that!

clint dempsey has been linked with us too, would only be a squad player at most imo though. probably an upgrade on maxi/kuyt though.

junior hoillett or salomon kalou on a free wouldn't be a bad options as back up either especially if maxi follows kuyt out the door.

Marco Reus has already signed for Dortmund, Affelay wouldn't be a bad signing but I really want Gaston Ramirez. Adam Johnson I'm a little unsure on he's a very talented player but never seems to be regarded as a starting eleven player by his managers, I'm not sure why but maybe theres something behind the scenes they don't like about him.

I think he said before that he doesn't really want to play in England and if he comes available he'll be snapped up by top champions league teams

Are we talking 4-4-2 here? Because if we plan to play 4-3-3 (which seems to be Rodgers' speciality) Suarez and Bellamy will cover the right wing, so we'd need only a backup player/youngster, who could quite frankly be anybody, even Suso.

Our priority might not even need to be a front-line player in any position:
Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Gerrard Lucas Aquilani/Cole
Suarez Carroll Downing

If Aquilani goes we have both Henderson and Shelvey in his role (as well as cover for Gerrard), but I think we'll need at least one more player (unless we hang onto Adam against reason, or FSG are happy to pay Joe Cole 90k per week). Of course, Cole may suit this system, but I think his age will count against him as he'll need to run a lot more.

With Spearing, Adam, Maxi, Aurelio all on the transfer list (I would hope), we will need backup DM, backup LB, backup RW, backup CB (for Carra), backup striker, and Sterling must become the backup LW (after Bellamy). If Cole and Aquilani both go, then we must get another CM unless we're to promote Coady and Suso.

Adam Johnson - when at BOro was good enough to be snapped up by City and there were cries of amazement when left out of 2010 squad. So burst onto the scene, got his move that did not pay off so will be hungry to show what he has in his bag of tricks for his new club.
Matt Jarvis - Just relegated but good winger in crap team. Could play on right or left and release Stewart to the right
The kid on the left for Ukraine - we were linked to him in the pre-euros hype but nothing since
Aidan Mcgeady - wants out of Russia
Lennon - not getting any time at Spurs and might [oops] Harry to accept Joe as part of the deal plus Lennon will want to prove he should be in the England team
Gaston Ramirez - Joins up with his team mates from Uruguay
Lee Chong frm Bolton - were linked with him prior to him bustinghis leg but he is fit and ready plus Asian so fits the bill with the sponsors
Dembele - Served his apprenticship in premier and want to play at bigger club going places
Affelay - but the Barca coach wants him to stay so doubtful
Moses from Wigan wants to move onto a bigger club than Wigan
Krasnic from Juve - linked a few seasons ago but he has something to prove and still has bags of skill but would he want to come to us or rather stay in Serie A?
Hoilett but rumoured to be going to Turks
Elia - rumours still interested in him but he played 4 times last season??

gaston ramirez plays in the hole for bologna which is his best position. he can play left wing tho. same goes for christian eriksen.

i could see us signing danny sturridge as a replacement for kuyt. can play both wing and up front. maybe the versatility we are looking for
