Dunk has an article on the main site linking us with Daniel Sturridge. This is the type of player we need. I know he was less than satisfied this season, being played out of position and playing second fiddle to Torres, despite the fact that Torres was playing [oops]. Thoughts? Is this legit?

We need a lethal goalscorer to give us some balance up front. Sturridge is not a 20 goal season type of striker. We shouldn't even be looking at him.

Would he be if he actually played striker? It's harder to score that many goals on the wing.

True he's not a 'great' goalscorer but i really like this player, even though hes tarred with the affliction of being a chelsea player! (I realise they won 2 trophies last season but i still wouldnt pee on stamford bridge if it were on fire

As a replacement for Kuyt, he's absolutely perfect. Young, talented, can play wide or up front and has a point to prove . Would love to see this happen.

Would Chelsea sell him, would he come reasonably cheap and would he be prepared to play wide? If yes to all 3, I'd take him as a sqaud player, but we should be looking for a better main striker.

Like above, a good replacement for Kuyt and another improvement, but i'd much rather Johnson for the wing and a bigger money signing up front.

Love to get him! He can be selfish at times but would be excellent addition coz we only really have Suarez and Carroll now! Bellamy can't play week in week out and maxi unsettled

Another english player? really? and this one didnt even get in the euro squad! He's ok, but we really need to start lookin for better players. If he came really cheap maybe, but after this season gone by I'm sick of us signin some of the 'best' british talents that in reality are rubbish! Lets go look in the french and dutch leagues. There will be more talent there willin to move to a club like liverpool if it means they can get out of less superior leagues!
