our fans should understand that even if caroll was at his peak that wouldnt help much because caroll isnt the type of player that can move smoothly, keep the ball, and pass quickly+ relying heavily on crosses which may distract the function of wingers and suarez soo the best thing is to get rid of downing and caroll at any price as long as were shifting into a completely new system and way of playing which needs players that can keep the ball and distribute it nicely+getting wingers that can dribble and create chances for themselves. I hope u guys agree with me smile YNWA

Andy is starting to show the form that got his transfer to us. He will come good.

http://eurorivals.net/top-scorers.html?b...op-scorers.html

This is the link to the top scorers in Europe.
Huntelar (4 in list) has been mentioned but he will not leave Schalke - Dutch coach and mention of adding a few from Dutch squad

The first in the list that we could afford and are currently being linked to in his national press is at no 9 (ironic number) scored 35 in 41 in Turkish league and cost 5m euros

Cavani linked to Juve so no way we can get him or afford it.

Lewandoski just won everything in Germany so will stick around with Dortmund

Higuain is being linked with PSG

Giroud being linked with Bayern Munich

Luk De Jong (23) is a possibility and has been coached by Kluivert so possibility

So enough dribble Burak Yilmaz and Luk De Jong (why not should get them for 15 - 20 m euros) what about the Yak (32) as another possibility

Just out of interest Seb Leto (90) Clint Dempsey (33) Suarez (100)

Burak Yilmaz will do me! Young and talented and players like this will be happy to sign for us and be reasonably cheap as well!

you are right about class strikers making average teams winners. when torres was one form we could be outplayed yet still beat teams. if it wasn't for van persie at arsenal they probably wouldn't have made the champions league.

i think carroll can only get better under brendan rodgers. i think the manager will bring a cohesion to the side, we'll be a true team that fights for each other rather than an average team with 2/3 good individual players.

all of rodgers other teams have included the target man style striker spear heading the attack. carroll will need to learn to play on the floor more, but with kenny in the side he should already be improving that side of his game.

i see suarez moving out wide and cutting in from the wing similar to sinclair/dyer at swansea. that doesn't mean luis is going to become a winger. it just means he'll be able to wreak havoc from inside positions (which he tends to do in most games anyway). thats how barca play with messi and suarez imo is good enough to walk into that team so why would it not work if we executed it well at liverpool?

that frees up some room on the bench. maybe another striker is needed if thats how we're going to play next year. especially now we're competing in europe aswell as the domestic competitions. we'll need some back up for that area for sure.

i'm not sure if i can see us over spending in that area. the only names that really stand out are cavani / llorente and possibly leandro damaio. your talking some serious money with players within that bracket but i'm sure we could accommodate a cheaper signing like luuk de jong who is reportedly available at around £12m. he would be a player i'd be looking at.

i'm sure there are other gems we could manage to have a pop at too. heard links about jackson martinez who looks a good player. i hope we don't over spend and do it cheaply. would love us to pluck a top striker out for less than £15m and have a similar impact to how jelavic has at everton

Either we get a striker who is strong and quick and only a decent finisher or we get real a fox in the box like De Jong. We lack both.

I think we should really look at Giroud from Montpeillier.

We could be a bit late on that one as the big clubs are sniffing around.
