The red home kit colour I hope remains forever. However I can see us doing a Juventus in the future: Different kit sponsors for home and away kit!

Their black/white barcode home kit is sponsored by Betclic.

The Pink/star away kit is sponsored by Balocco.

They have it written in the contracts with their kit sponsors the minimum number of mandatory displays for each season. Interesting!

For me i identify with the club because it represents the city i was born in and that feels natural for me,others support it for various other reasons? so for me the final straws will be changing the name, the badge and possibly the location of the ground,OK just outside the city wall but any further than that and i would feel its been taken away completely,i can support the club from anywhere in the world but to move it from the city will be as good as stealing it from the city, remember Wimbledon? that was stolen from all those local fans, just because some of them couldn't afford to get in the ground doesn't mean it wasn't taken away from them, also i admired Wimbledon fans for turning their back on daylight robbery and starting over, all be it with nothing. Some traditions must be upheld, even if some greedy sods have stolen the original ones, its a matter of principle. mad

Exactly what is the united kingdom without the union jack. Its what these individual things mean to people. What happens if the hillsborough flames dont make it on a shirt ??

I think it's now becoming clear that if you have enough money then anything can be bought wether it's the name of the stadium, name of the team, Club colours or anything.
I think this sort of thing is of major interest to us as we have owners who are here to make a fast buck, I honestly think we are definately in line to have a change of name, stadium and also play home games in other countries a bit further down the line.

You obviously forgot we used to wear blue... It must be Over-exaggeration of Minor Matters Week.

I think how much tradition matters rests on what kind of a tradition a club has. A club like Liverpool has a massive tradition and a massive history and culture that the tradition reflects. The red shirt is ours. We wear it because Shankly chose it to distinguish us from other clubs and to let teams know who they were playing when they came to Anfield. The Hillsborough flames are important because they represent the tragedy and adversity that our club has faced and overcome. Those traditions matter. Those things you cannot let go of, because they are what makes this great team the great and storied club that is.

Not only that, us fans also pay for the players' over the top wages!

This is in fact one of the biggest reasons why all clubs more and more need to focus on the finances! Buying players and drop feeding them their gigantic wages!

This means the clubs must squash as much dough as possible out of the fans and the sponsors - or the club's dead - bang just like that!

Good points there Van, and I'm wondering just how long this bubble can last. As it is there's already two tiers in the PL and a fair number in the bottom half are just about hanging in there, and ticket prices have peaked in my view. Just imagine if Sky Sports went belly up, what kind of a crash we would see?

The city's symbol of the liver bird was adopted as the club's badge in 1901, although it was not incorporated into the kit until 1955.
