most of us agree then that a lot of traditions are extinct.
would'nt surprise me one bit when sometime in future, footy (as we know it) goes the same way. I guess it's all about change - so sad.

The whole game is driven by players wages. It is madness.

If you think about it its tradition and history of the club that we support.. Sure theres the greats such as steven gerrard who stay at one club all there career but apart from him most players come and go. Take the players away from the club and wel still support them so it must be the tradition that keeps us supporting.

Even if we changed our kit to purple we'd still have our history and club traditions. A different coloured wouldn't change the past.

to me Steven Gerrard is the man who scored that amazing screamer in injury time against west ham.. Not the man who gets paid thousands a week.

Also colours of a kit is what defines teams from others.. Sure we could all change the colour of our kit every season why dont we ??

Yeah, but if our kit was turquoise that season steve gerrard would still have scored that goal and he'd still have lifted the cup and the record books would still say we won the fa cup in that year.
When we won it previously with Owen scoring 2 late goals our kit was yellow - does it make any difference?
