I think most of my fellow kopites would agree that regardless of any potential departures this transfer window a right winger was a priority position for BR to address.

With the departure of Kuyt all but confirmed today we now have the following options for RM/RW:
Suarez - Wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez deployed on the right hand side of an attacking 3 under BR as he does so effectively for Uraguay
Maxi - a decent squad player with a year or two left in him and has scored some goals when given the chance. Not sure he will relish the pressing game BR is hoping to move towards so I wouldn't be surprised if he left
Henderson/Gerrard/Shelvey - all better used as central midfielders so no more than a backup option for the right side
Bellamy - More effective on the left hand side, not a long term option and injury worries but could do a job if required
Downing - Would leave him on the left, never been a fan of left footed wingers playing on the right as they tend to become predictable as they can't go past the defender on the outside
Sterling - Excellent prospect, I hope/expect he will get some more time in pre-season, Cups and Europa league this season but not ready to be first choice yet

On the surface that looks like

On the surface that looks like (post continued) a fair few options for the position but with the departure of Kuyt and a few of the names on that list failing to convince or being better utilised in other positions I think there is room in the squad for another specialist right sided winger/forward.

A few options I think we should consider:
Afellay - Scored a couple against N. Ireland and techinally sound, apparantly available for a reasonable price and had some exposure to the Barca style of play BR is looking to move towards. Concern over being injury prone though.
Hoilett - Did well for Blackburn towards the end of the season and available on a free, if there isn't much budget could be a shrewd signing.
Lavezi - I can dream, Italian football is in a bit of a state with match fixing issues right now but probably not a realistic signing at this stage of the rebuilding process
Dos Santos - Not playing at spurs but does the job for mexico (scored tonight against Brazil), maybe Harry knows something we don't about him but he has been schooled in the Barcelona way of playing. I think Joe Cole will get a chance under BR but if we are looking to offload him to reduce the wage bill Harry might well consider a swap deal.
Gaitan - Looks a good prospect for either wing from the times I've seen him play

So who would you like BR to bring in for the Right hand side?

Hoilett is a VERY good player and we should sign him. About time we brought in some bargains and didn't waste our money.

However Glen Johnson needs to play on the right with Kelly behind.

A.Johnson A.Johnson A.Johnson believe me guys no one will fit in the RW position perfectly as him, his lack of continuous playing in city was a problem but i cant imagine any RW better than him the boy is very good and dont forget that with city going mad at each transfer market and spending outrageuously we could get him for a cheap price, it is true that many wingers are faster than him but he posses skills and excellent curling shots.

Apologies for the duplicate threads - kept getting an error message when I tried to post so I hit refresh.

Would also love Adam Johnson - though for the left

Hoilett or Dos Santos would be great options.
You can add joe cole to that list too.

I also like Dos Santos, but will Spurs release him? He was good against Brazil this weekend.
