Rodgers will know if Allen can make the step up or not. You never know Rodgers might fancy Charlie Adam in that position.

if you look at jays work he is the only midfielder who tries to use the ball the right way, even in the fa cup final he was our best player until he gave away the ball , maybe rodgers can work on his short range passing which is a bit erratic. maybe he won't make it here but i would have a punt on him if i was a west brom or someone like that.

You're right when you say he would definitely be a good player for Wigan or Sunderland and he is a terrier when challenging players. IMO he has to go though and it would be better for him also..

Allen is still very young and even at this age he is quite mature on the ball. He takes control and responsibility. With him playing along side Lucas they would be very good at controlling the mid and keeping the ball.

If we buy no one, then this 4-3-3 attack oriented formation look efficient.

Charlie Adam may do a job in that role was played wrong last season so looked slow and lost his confidence might surprise me and be good next year

he wasn't played wrong at all, central midfield is his natural position. face it he under performed last season. all of the strengths we signed him for were non existent - creativity, passing, corners, free kicks, penalties etc. he was crap at the lot and more. especially his mobility and his tackling. maybe he could come good under a new manager, after all brendan never signed him so charlie will be doing everything he can to impress him
