Next Monday first day in the job Brendan is going to think about how he will get them to play next season. From what we know he works on a possession game. After Man City Swansea apparently made the most passes last season.

Given that who among our players is not going to fit that? Is he going to have to change things around a lot or does he have the right players right away? For me I don’t we have enough quality players and I have been saying that for years and theres the obvious issues like the lack of a good finisher at the club.

A lot are going to move on too maybe Kuyt, Maxi and then there’s the guys on loan and the youngsters. For me he has to make dramatic changes but he can’t make them overnight otherwise it would unsettle the team. It’s a tough job he has taken on maybe the toughest in football right now.

I have viewed tonight some of the Man Utd sites and the fans there (the sensible ones) think we might have made a good appointment. It might seem odd me checking rival fans sites but I always think check your enemy for a reaction.

It’s hard for him where do you start on that lot? What do you think his priorities are let’s say in the first 12 months and next? Team wise I mean not 4th place etc.

Nothing has changed since the end of the season Stan, actually since January, we still need a striker, creative midfielder, decent winger and decent back up for Reina,
looking forward to seeing how much he gets to spend and if he'll have to sell..

I thinking re-building is a tad rash, but were going to need to be patient this time. If he gets us into the CL, it'll be a huge achievement. It's no good still saying that should never be the target for LFC, but everything's changed now, mostly money, and city and chelsea will spend big every summer. We'll need to take a place from Arsenal or Spurs.

I guess he'll already be deciding who's to be given a chance next year, Carrol/Downing?, and who to get rid of and make way for his own choices/free up some cash - Adam/Kuyt/Maxi. It depends how much he has to spend and who fits into his style.

Short-term he'll hopefully sell a few deadwood and be given money for 2 quality players, as well as making sure the likes of Suarez stay put.
I don't think we can expect newcastle type signings immediately, especially with the Euros signings will be tough.
Hopefully he'll promote some youth but he won't have seen them play yet son that too will take time. Fingers crossed he'll be able to implement an effective, passing game quickly and get the best out of some very under-performing players.

Intersted to see how spurs do this summer having no CL next year, and Arsenal if/when RVP goes.

Agreed!!! As for the team as a whole, he needs to get them to perform to their potential. We basically have a decent squad lacking belief.

Getting player on side and in will be a doddle compared to the mammoth task he has with getting his 12th man on side......

I don't understand the scum fans thinking. I might (I did) think that way when I was 14 but not after I grew up. Many of my friends I drink with and workmates are Man Utd fans and Everton too. It depends on the personality of the indivdual how they interact some decent some not just like Liverpool fans. People are people. As for the logic of checking oposition reaction are you in business? if so you will know its important to check reaction of the competition.
