i have developed a rather robust hatred of northern irish people, be they southies or northies. so will have to be ever the more kind to brendan.

He's handed in a transfer request with Swansea lol that's got to be an FSG tactic to bump down the compensation

probably the other way round, swansea forced him to hand it in ..usual in these cases. so not due any cash off swansea.

This is a great day for the club and one of genuine optimism ..... he'll be one of the best managers we've ever had.

I'm quite happy with this appointment as to be honest noneof us knows how it will turn out. People are comparing it to Hodgson but all fairness we all knew Hodgson was going to be cr@p which was why we never warmed to him as he had been around the block for years and not really achieved anything of merit. Where Rodgers is a little hit unknown still.

Hopefully brings some fresh ideas and hopefully plays people in their natural positions and also for once have 2 WINGERS FOR A CHANGE.

Reports are saying he has not been offered the job yet, though it looks likely it will could be more twists yet. He is asking Swansea that he can so must be confident.

then again with the press who knows what is going on till official statements made.
If it is him I will get behind the man, lower my expectations over short term and allow him more time. I don't want us turning into Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers and Steve Clarke were both important figures in Jose Mourinho's management team. Annoying to see them both at Anfield.

John McKenna was an Irishman Faz, and he built the club in the first place, so nothing new in this appointment. Anyway I see it as a gamble and I pray it works out. I like the thought of him telling FSG where to put their DOF when the first contacted him if we can believe reports. Best of luck Brendan and I hope you go on to do a Shanks for us.
