Looks like Chelsea are about to sign Eden Hazard one of the brightest young talents for years.
I think if this does'nt hammer home how far behind the big Clubs we have slipped then I dont know what will, he has played all season with our very own Joe Cole and no amount of persuasion from him would he of even considered signing for us, our name was'nt even mentioned on the radar not that we could of expected it.
It's a pity as he is a player we are crying out for in a real problem position for us, I can remember him being linked to us when we played them a few seasons ago but as his stock rose he became too big a player for a Club like ours which is very sad.
The point I am making is that maybe when things like this happen it will slowly start to convince our fans that we are no longer as big a Club as we like to make out, I for one would love to think we are as big as we once was but unfortunately times have changed and the likes of your United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal are bigger and have alot more to offer these big players in wages and providing the big platform to win the games major honours.
I think it is similar to the reasons some Liverpool fans have expectations of grandua when they think managers like Guardiola and Mourinho would even contemplate coming to us.
