What has happend to us has happend to many Clubs in the past, Leeds United, Villa, Forest and Everton have all had there times at the top and we are no different, you have your time and then it goes and you get replaced by bigger more powerful Clubs, it does'nt have to mean the end, we can still have a good Club to support it's just that we no longer dine at the top table, the only fans who this will bother will be gloryhunter fans as most of us will support through thick and thin regardless.

Rubbish. Do you actually think before you post, or are you just bitter with everything? One fan says something about Liverpool, and you generalize as if every fan has said it.

We are nothing like villa, Leeds, etc. we still have major income to keep us in the fight and just need some smart recruiments. Hopefully FSG are going to get that sorted. I know that you want you club back to what it used to be, with just the locals coming in every week, but I don't think that wishing for mediocrity is going to do that for you. Maybe it's you that needs to accept that you can't have it your way anymore, things have changed man.

It would be very interesting to find out where fans on here actualy think our club is in size compared to others because the way I see it is people think we are bigger and better than we actualy are.
I dont think any manager is going to turn us into a top four Club unless we match the likes of City and Chelsea pound for pound which FSG are never going to do. I think the most our football Club can achieve is probably similar to what a Newcastle or Spurs have done and they have both still come up short no mater what has come and gone, this is the way I see football until the landscape changes which it wont for the foreseeable future.

During half-time, Guardiola reminded the players the 2005 CL final, when Liverpool won the trophy after losing 3-0 at half-time [catradio]

also it says that

After a sabbatical year, Guardiola plans to take up a coaching job in England or Italy, not necessarily at a top-flight team. [confidencial]

although it would be slated for a twitter source but i have monitored this account for sometime and no BS is posted there.trust me.and the above doesnt suggest his admiration for LFC or else.

may be martinez for one year till the ship is even steadier then pep? LOL

Steven Gerrard: Heartbeat of LFC.

football is fuckingg cruel

My fear exactly. The manager appointment relates to brand image as well. At this very critical juncture, we cannot appoint a manager who we hope will do well; we need to appoint someone with a good track record at the highest levels. LFC, on brand name alone, has been generating very good income from sponsorship deals alone. This will quickly change if, as said, we accepted mediocrity.

I am only responsible for what I write. Not for what you understand.

And Abramovich has the money.

As long as FSG approach Pep, if he turns us down then fair enough but if we don't at least speak to him then we could potentially be missing out.

Still dont understand why he would want to come to a Club like Liverpool when he could have the pick, maybe somebody could explain that to me because I am baffled.

It's called a CHALLENGE!

He has just taken Barca to be the best club team in the world. LFC has a great academy and maybe he wants a challenge to see what he can do with a club that needs a change!

Not all managers want to walk into clubs loaded with cash and huge name players! Clubs like these could be a poison chalice but a club such as Liverpool with a HUGE history who needs help might jut float his boat! Imagine what the football world would think I Pep if he could get us back to the top of the world in club football? He would become an all time LEGEND!
