hodgson got abuse before he was even appointed ..lets not re-write history. and its looks like martinez is in for the same, luckily martinez is a far superior attacking manager and will have the resources to silence the critics.

Even hodgson got support at the beginning, this no support idea is a two way process , if the managers not winning games the fans will turn on him eventually end of story.
The rest is just baiting by anti benitez 'fans' what 2 games ? dont remember the kop chanting roys name never . only when it was hodgson for england and he got the job i suppose he should thank the kop for getting him the top job .

i was 1 of those fans that did nt give hodgson a chance and rightly so he should have never been anywhere near lfc, you could see that a mile away. but martinez deserves a chance anyone can see hes a promising young manager and theres every chance he could do well.
by the way i know its off topic but who are these sprit of shankly fools and why do they think they have the right to speak for the rest of us fans. im sick of them spouting off crap, there causing nothing but trouble and embarrasment for the club

tbh i know things went south on hodgson very quickly but in all fairness he never really had a hope..its was just the wrong time , the club was in disarray, he had nothing to spend ..i think he could do something with england, he is a very good coach and i wouldn't be surprised if england win or get close to winning the euro's with him.

language mate no need , yes benitez does get credit for 05 but that should not be a millstone around the club giving him free reign and a walkover like most want .

I'm not against Martinez, it just looks like a drastic lack of ambition from our owners who are alledgedly aspiring for top four was appointing paisley, fagan and dalglish lack of ambition , because if forums ,twitter and facebook were around then the clamour would be for revie ,clough, atkinson to name a few not sir bob, joe or a player called dalglish who all had no managment behind then and won nothing .
