i would like to think if he was available we would have got him. i think harry didnt want to loan him out or wanted too much loan money. dont see why kenny wouldnt want him, he is english after all

Regardless of the opinions of some on here as to Carroll's ability, next season he will either be played or he will be sold. If the former case (the far more likely, imo) then you can forget about a top-dollar striker coming in. Also remember how we failed sabermetrics 101 last season? Sp don't expect a top dollar signing at all.

I think Carroll showed coming into the last few matches that he has the ability to cause defenders trouble. From memory, from the Blackburn game on he put in a serious shift every game and looked fitter and more willing to nod the ball on and then burst himself to get into the box. If he can carry this form over the summer (and I think he'll hopefully come back fitter because of the Euros) he could have an excellent season next year.

We should buy a striker who can challenge to get into the 1st team

if we could sign anyone that isnt in the prem id like fernando llorente or falcow or however u spell his name lol but im concerned if martinez does become manager can he attract the quality all us fans desire,

Not sure about Falcao leaving Atletico Madrid having just won the Europa League with them and being top scorer in the competition for consecutive seasons. They're also a lot closer to qualifying for the Champions' League that we are.

We cant attract the likes of Falcao, Suarez and Carroll will score plenty next season and Defoe or similar as back up will do us fine.

In my post earlier I said that I would love to see Robert Lewandowski here in Liverpool but also at the same time give more time to our existing youth strikers like Adam Morgan. Only with more game times will we know whether he is the next big thing that is coming out from the academy. It's been some time since the Academy produced a local lad whom can take over from Stevie G and Jamie Carragher. I know my points can be contradicting but sometimes purchasing players for instant success does not guarantee instant impact too...
